I have been part of the New Zealand Brand Events team for just on a year now. I survived my first event- being Top Gear Live- and I managed to come out the other end unscathed…..
Top Gear is right up my alley, as I have a long history working on and with cars- it is a passion for me. This was a real eye opener and introduction to the Events industry. I got a buzz out of being part of it, I am now hooked.
I remember sitting down beside the Top Gear Live (race) Track on the Saturday and looking around and seeing thousands of people enjoying the spectacle in front of them, then I thought to myself-Wow I played a part in putting this together, it is a fantastic feeling.
I know these numbers don’t compare with other countries, but for lil’ old New Zealand it is not bad.
Now we are full swing into bringing Taste of Auckland together and I am just as excited and am relishing the prospect of seeing Taste of Auckland come alive and become a reality.
It is now late September and we are counting down the weeks till Showtime…. The stress levels are still at minimum but are sure to rise over the coming weeks.
Bring it on I say- The New Zealand team will rise to the challenge and create another successful event.
I am sure I will get to meet a few more of the Brand Events team in the not-so-distant future, But I will say that the one’s I have met already are truly down to earth people and have made me feel welcome.
